Here’s what Aging Care Management is and what they do to help aging adults.

Today I’m happy to introduce Jeanie Christian, the owner of Aging Care Management. She’s here to tell us a little about what she does and the services they provide.

Aging Care Management does geriatric care management, which means they help adult children whose parents are declining either in physical or mental health. They help them figure out what steps to take and how to handle the situation. There’s a great need out there for people who do what they do.

Jeanie grew up with her great aunt and great-grandmother in her home, so she’s always been very comfortable with older adults and would volunteer in nursing homes. After college, she worked in nursing homes and assisted living before creating her own business. Often, she works with an adult child whose parent is declining, but she sometimes works with older couples who want to plan for the next phase in their lives and ensure they can age in place.

“They help adult children when they have parents who are declining either in physical or mental health. ”

What they do is different from home care because that involves helping people bathe, getting dressed,  getting anything over them. Jeanie is more like the quarterback who points people in the right direction of which home care company to hire, helps them find in-home health and doctors, and works more behind the scenes. Jeanie does this job because she loves to help people; it’s very meaningful and satisfying to help someone get out of a crisis.

If you need Aging Care Management’s help, you can visit their website, call Jeanie at (706) 756-5625, or contact me and I’ll put you in touch with them. Along those lines, if you need help getting your parents’ home sold, I can help you with that. So feel free to give me a call or send an email. I’d be happy to help with any of your real estate questions or needs.
